Nobody even knows i......i AM slim...
Cliche': (n) 2 : a hackneyed theme, characterization, or situation

What if?
Who cares?
When?
Where?
Yes...
No...
"d'you know what I say?"
"I don know what I say!"
why is HE in my head?
a diversion from she?
but what if i don't want to be diverted?
what if i WANT to think of she?
she makes me happy......
she doesn't know......
she doesn't want to know......
she doesn't know me either...
surprise, surprise......
yet she giggles......
like her heart laughs too...
I'd like to think that...
I see her eyes...
They speak a language,
different from her mouth...
her eyes tell stories thousands of years old...
her eyes are warm......
loving......
kind......
understanding......
calming......

l...
her soul...
it calls...
who will answer?
ring, ring, ring...
i hope she doesn't get my voicemail...
i don't check it enough...
and my voicemail message is way too long...
is that the problem?
is there just to much too weed through?
is she afraid too?...
what's there to be scared of?
BOO!!...

some more good things

I have been trying to find some tangible ways to give back to help people around the world.

Saint's coffee works hand in hand with my friend and yours, Tom Davis, of Red Letters. They are a free-trade coffee company who, for every lb. of coffee purchased, an orphan is fed for a month.

They claim to have the best coffee around, and how great would it be to know that the money you would already normally be spending is going to help a sweet orphan.

To read more about it, go here.

TOMS shoes

I came across this awesome website that gives one pair of shoes to a person in need for every pair of shoes that is purchased.

One for One.

50,000 pairs went to South Africa, already in 2008.

10,000 pairs went to Argentina in 2006. Check out the youtubevideo

I think that I am going to get these ones...

The last trip to good ole Skip One

Just before my sweet Car and Kev left, we took one (actually two) last trips to Skip One. Here are the pictures from that outing.
We miss you, Car and Kev

Sharing their last piece of the best Key Lime Pie in town.

Kev is one of the freshest shrimp in town!

Slim Gillian...

... providing Homeland Security since 1983.

Last night someone was knocking on our door at 4am. Slim was really sick, so it was a little hard to wake him, which is not the norm. Once he was awake and alert to the situation, he was on his feet, ready and willing to secure our home (and land).

Don't let the frill in the background (birdcage, potpourri, flowers, pillows, etc) throw you off, trust me, in real life, he is this hardcore!

I love these bugs

Slim and I went to Orlando on Friday night and Saturday to see my dad, for Father's day and to celebrate our sweet Brayden's 4th birthday. We had so much fun with them, but didn't get to take any pictures, but here are some new ones. that Brandi just sent me, of my sweet loves...

Davis and Brayden are the best of friends. It is really exciting to see Bray take such a grown-up leadership roll with his brother and sister but also with dealing with issues that the world is facing. I love hearing his heart for people. Greg and Brandi have done an awesome job of teaching their children to live globally minded.

Davis has really come a long way. His vocabulary is growing by the minute, but his loving personality hasn't changed a bit! He still wants to hug, kiss and hold the people he loves. (I can't get enough of his sweet kisses.)

Look at this pretty little girl. She is no longer a baby... she is a turning into a sweet little girl. (She still has the sass, though) I loved playing with her this past weekend. She is girly and loves to push a stroller around with her baby, but she will also play rough with her brothers. I can't wait to see her grow up, but I want her to stay little forever.

I love these kids. Even when Slim and I have our own... these three little bugs with always be more than special to us!

We love you, Brayden James, G. Davis, and Gracie Lea Ann!

Something so great...

Not only is it delicious, but it comes out of a can, and it is organic. What more could you ask for?

I made these the other night, and they turned out fantastically!!! Crisp on the outside, soft in the middle. My dad was telling me and Slim about this wonderful treat this past weekend, and we tasted them in Costco yesterday, and had to have them.

Visit this website to find out more about PANCAKES IN A CAN!!!

(Thanks to Slim for finding these pictures)

10 things (as seen on Car's blog)

I'm lovin' right now...
1. Club soda and lime. Last Thursday I decided that I needed to stop the intake of artificial sweeteners. I have read a bunch of stuff about the effects of non-sugar sweeteners, and I have concluded that it might just be better to go without. Now, if you know me, you know I love diet coke. I could drink it with every meal. It is really the only soda that I love, so in getting rid of sweeteners, I got rid of all soda, except the club variety. I love soda water and lime, lemon, or even just plain! Mmm, it is delicious!
2. This white tutu skirt. It was found on Etsy a while back, and I think about it all the time. It is too expensive to buy, but I think that it would be so much fun to have around to wear for pictures. Someday I might be able to get it, or will be able to talk someone creative into making one for me.
3. Red Letters. The girls and I have loved doing this book as a study, and it has definitely helped me to see things differently. If you haven't read it, you need to! We will posting ways that you can help make a difference. Keep checking back to see.
4. Italian Sweet Cream Coffee Mate: The stuff is darn good. I am hoping that it is a long term product because I have really liked ones that were only special edition, which makes me very sad when they decide to discontinue them. Italian Sweet Cream is the perfect addition to a black cup of coffee.
5. All things MAC (the computers and the makeup) I love the way that the MAC makeup stays on all day, and truly give you the bold looks you are attempting. My sweet friend Hope is going to transfer MAC stores at the end of June. She is going to be managing the MAC counter at Dillards, Coconut Point. Be sure to visit her. I am pretty sure that MAC computers speak for themselves. I am thankful that God gave me a man who loves MACs:)

6. The BKE long strappy tank tops found at The Buckle. Now this might seem to be just a normal tank, but the fact that it is long and comes in like every color of the rainbow makes it a staple. Also it doesn't have a wretched shelf bra, and it can be worn with pretty much everything. Please go and get one, or ten. You will be thankful that you did. (I own this tank top in white, cream, yellow, black, brown, orange and green)
7. The Aprons at Anthropologie. (Well pretty much everything at Anthropologie, but there are the most lovely aprons there.) Actually I am not even sure that I would wear one of these if I owned one, but something about them makes me think that I would be a cuter, and even better cook if I did. There are a whole bunch at the website, but this one is my favorite.
8. Sudoku puzzles on Ebaum's world. They actually update a new one everyday... and I am getting pretty good. No need for a picture on this one, but be sure to check out Ebaum's today.

9. Being Nostalgic. Maybe it is because this year marks my 10 year reunion from FHS, or maybe it is just because there are a lot of things changing, but I am really getting excited about memories and fun that I have had in the past. Our reunion is the same week as the great New York State Fair, and you best believe that I am excited for that. Jessica Burke and her sweet Maddy will be staying with me in Syracuse. I am really exciting of a whole nostalgic weekend.
10. I have been trying to think of new things that I love right now, but it is much harder than I expected it would be, so for my last item, I am resorting back to something that I have loved for a while. PostSecret. For those of you who are reading this but don't know what it is, Postsecret is a community of people who share their secrets by mailing them on postcards to Germantown, MD. The secrets are then reviewed and selected to be posted every Sunday. I think that this is such an interesting way to let people into a small part of your life. I have never sent a secret, but I may soon. Keep checking POSTSECRET to see if you can figure out what mine might be:) This is my favorite from last week.
